Consolidating European Exascale Effort (BoF SC18)

14 November 2018
17:15 to 18:45

Room D166

ETP4HPC organises on behalf of EXDCI the BoF (Birds of a Feather) session "Consolidating the European Exascale Effort" at Supercomputing (SC18) in Dallas, TX (US). The BoF will present the status of EuroHPC, an overview of the results of the European projects to date and the ambitions of new projects in the context of the global Exa-scale effort and international collaboration, the new co-design projects (DEEP-EST and EuroExa), the European Processor Initiative, the European post-Exascale ambitions and a selection of best-performing HPC technology SMEs.

The BoF will also help identify the areas in which European HPC projects seek international collaboration to those interested in cooperating with European HPC projects and organisations and the action items needed to stimulate and sustain collaboration, such as networking opportunities in Europe and elsewhere, focused joint workshops and funded actions, with the objective to formulate a proposal for relevant funding agencies.
